Frimesa promoted an intensive five-day program with 40 lectures focused on food safety, bringing together all employees in in-person and engaged groups. The objective of the event was to strengthen the organizational culture focused on contamination prevention and expand the teams’ technical knowledge.
The activities included the participation of five instructors from Certifee Consultoria, who addressed the main topics related to contamination prevention and food product integrity through a practical, current approach aligned with the reality of the food industry.
Frimesa is a national reference in food processing. In 2024, it reached an important milestone, producing 499,264 tons of products, distributed across 33 countries and present in more than 48,678 points of sale in Brazil. These figures reinforce its leadership role in the sector, as the largest pork processing plant in Paraná and one of the largest in Brazil.
Topics covered in the lectures
During the event, Certifee instructors addressed the following central topics:
Food Safety Culture
This is the set of values, attitudes and behaviors shared by employees that ensure commitment to producing safe food. Companies with a strong culture stand out for promoting engagement, clear communication and leadership committed to quality.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
These are mandatory practices to ensure hygiene, organization and control in production processes, preventing contamination risks. GMP is the foundation of every effective sanitary control system.
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
A preventive method to identify, assess and control hazards that may compromise food safety. Applied globally, HACCP reinforces commitment to safe food.
Allergen Control
This involves mapping and preventing cross-contamination by substances that can cause severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis. Traceability and clear communication are pillars of this control.
Food Fraud
Any intentional practice to adulterate, replace or falsify foods for profit. Emblematic cases, such as melamine contamination in China, have shown the severe impact of such actions.
Food Defense
A set of preventive measures against intentional acts of sabotage or product contamination inside industries. It encourages active vigilance and immediate reporting of suspicious behavior.
The success of the event was also reflected in the high level of engagement among participants. Stories, practical examples and real data reinforced the responsibility of each employee in the production process. The main message was clear: “Doctors take care of disease. We take care of health by producing safe food every day.”
The initiative reinforces Frimesa’s commitment to continuous training and food safety, promoting knowledge, reflection and effective practices across all production areas. For Certifee Consultoria, it was an honor to collaborate with a company that demonstrates, in practice, that food safety goes beyond standards: it is culture, value and commitment to life.
