What the program is

A proprietary scheme by Certifee to qualify the food chain.

GAS is a proprietary Certifee program structured as a voluntary food safety management seal. It was created to help companies in the production chain reduce contamination risks and demonstrate maturity in good practices, HACCP and food safety technical requirements.

Program structure

Three adoption levels, in increasing order of maturity.

Each level builds on the previous one and adds a technical layer. The company chooses the starting point that makes sense for its operation and evolves at the right pace, without having to reorganize everything at once.

  1. GAS+1

    Legal compliance and GMP

Compliance with current Brazilian legal standards, focused on Good Manufacturing Practices (ANVISA and MAPA basis) and product-segmentation requirements.

    • Applicable legal standards
    • Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Product-segment requirements
  2. GAS+2

    Legal compliance, GMP and HACCP

Includes everything from the previous level and adds HACCP structuring, referenced to the FSSC 22000 baseline.

    • Everything in GAS+1
    • HACCP implementation
    • FSSC 22000 baseline reference
  3. GAS+3

Legal compliance, GMP, HACCP and management system

Most complete level. Adds food safety management-system requirements referenced to GFSI and GMP+ FSA, integrating regulations, GMP, HACCP and product requirements.

    • Everything in GAS+2
    • Food safety management system
    • GFSI and GMP+ FSA baseline

Same structure for the whole chain. Color identifies the category.

Color does not represent level, score or hierarchy. Each color identifies a segment of the chain where the seal is applied, keeping the same visual promise: G.A.S., Audited and Approved, Safe Food Management.
